DEDICATION

This album is dedicated to my mother, Ann Taylor Hagler
and my husband, Charles L. "Charlie" Bartholomew.

To my mother, Ann, who bore me and gave me life. Raised me. Taught me. Disciplined me. Loved me unconditionally through good and bad. I admire her so much -- the things she did and accomplished in her life. She was a single mom in the 60s with 5 children. She became successful in the real estate business and eventually owned a construction company, a bookstore, and a beauty shop, all at the same time. She developed several residential areas in Tallahassee, FL. She became a master doll-maker--an artist in her own right.

Mother put her life on hold in August 1990 and stayed with me in Tampa while I was going through my bone marrow transplant at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center. She kept a vision alive in me while I drifted in and out of the land of the living. She told me of the songs I would write, the music I would produce, and the people they would bless. She held me in her arms like a baby and told me all about the lives that would be touched when I came out on the other side of the ordeal I was going through. This CD is her dream, her vision. This is the fruit of the seed she planted in me when I was as good as dead. She passed through Life’s Portal April 23, 1993 at the young age of 65, yet she lives on.

To my husband, Charlie, who was and is the love of my life. A simple man of peace and compassion. Unassuming, yet charismatic. Always the encourager. If any woman can honestly say they have had the kind of love where they were put on a pedestal and loved and adored passionately, I can say that I received that kind of love from Charlie. We first met in church and shared a love of and hunger to know Christ. Through that common bond we were brought together rather miraculously and shared many wonderful years and experiences together. We also shared many hardships together. He was there as well when I was going through the leukemia, the bone marrow transplant and my recovery.

But he was experiencing his own medical difficulties at same time as well and we didn't know it until he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 1995. This album is Charlie’s dream, too. He was there when quite a few of these songs were written and is the inspiration for some. He was there when I began working on this CD. He loved to listen to me sing and play. Anytime. All the time. Our love lives on.

When I close my eyes and sing, I still see his loving eyes. "Our Hearts Will Never Say Goodbye".
