Thank yous are in order for all the wonderful people that helped me
put this project together plus special thanks to some others.
To all the musicians that played on this CD thank you for
digging so deep for the emotions you brought to the all the songs. I want to thank Jack
Clement for his support and helping me in so many ways. To my brother, Lee Hargrove, thank
you for keeping me so well equipped. Thanks to Melanie Clark, my dear friend, for keeping
things flowing in a tight time. Thanks to Phil Vassar for his love, devotion, and support.
Thanks to Steve Popovich, Sr. and Steve Popovich, Jr. for their encouragement. To my
sister, Susan, thanks for your kind, but
incessant persistence in keeping me on task. Thanks to Catherine Flanigan,
friend/photographer-extraordinaire. Special thanks to Rocko Heermance for his zeal and
great musicianship. Thank you to Jack Stackatrack Grochmal for his
skillfulness in the engineering arts and his production suggestions Thank you to Brooks
Watson for his excellent engineering skills and enthusiasm.
I also want to thank a few obscure people that have
influenced me greatly in my lifetime of music. First of all, my childhood friend,
John Schuessler, who got me interested in playing the guitar when I was ten years old.
Connie Miller, who was my first cowriter when I was 14. My band director at Leon High
School, Oliver Hobbs, who taught me lot more than just music when I played the French
horn. He instilled a passion for greatness in me. Thank you to all the teachers I had
access to at the School of Music at Florida State University in the 1950s and 60s, growing
up in Tallahassee. You taught me the rudiments of music and an appreciation of the
classics. All the guys I played in bands with in Tallahassee in the 60s we were so
bad it drove me to Nashville.
Thank you.
Special thanks to all the folks in Panacea and Wakulla County, FL
who have embraced me and supported me and my music these last few years. To William and
Walter Solburg and the Possum Club gang. Thank you to Revs. Clarice and George Fluitt for
your spiritual input and prayers throughout our long relationship. Thanks to Gerry
Margolis.
To my brother, Mark for saving me with his bone marrow and also
to Dr. Karen Fields and the nurses and staff at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL
who saw me through my transplant. Special thanks to my sister, Jennie, for her love,
prayers, and moral support.
And finally, to my fans and friends worldwide who were faithful
to pray me through my illness and support me and Charlie throughout our trials and rejoice
with us in our triumphs. May God Bless You Richly Always.
